I asked the waiter for TOKWA'T AND BABOY. 

For those who don't know, apparently TOKWA(tofu) AT(and) BABOY (pig) already has an "&"!!

Hamon Ng Buhay

I was driving home on the Skyway last night when I saw a huge ABS CBN billboard. They were promoting a show (can't remember now, too many Tagalog words to keep on rote memory). But I caught a line that made me wonder: ANG HAMON NG BUHAY.

Ginugol

Sabi nila: Madaming horas na ginugol sa brand na yan.

Translation ko: We've spent a lot of time Googling infromation for that brand.

BINATA

Akala ko ang ibig sabihin nito ay magiging bata (to make into a child).

Kasi:

putok - pinutok
tapon - tinapon
bangga - binangga

so dapat

bata - binata

Giniling? Na Kape?

Nagnunood ako ng TV the other day when a commercial came on. Itong commercial ay para CAFE PURO. Sabi nila sa tagline MAY SARAP NA GINILING NA CAPE.

Aligue sa Tubig

Nkakatuwa na may bagong tao sa JWT na hindi rin magaling sa Tagalog. Na sa Boracay kami at tinawag niya ng asawa niya. Sabi niya, na ang daming ALIGIUE sa tubig.

Sabi ng asawa, "Talaga? Yung puede kainin?"

Sabi niya, "Hindi puede kainin itong Aligue!"
